What this metric measures
The difference between men’s and women’s full-time adult ordinary-time earnings, as a percentage of men’s earnings. Derived from ABS Average Weekly Earnings.
Why it matters: It measures how far women’s pay trails men’s for full-time work. A persistent gap reflects differences in pay rates, roles and industries across the workforce.
