Youth NEET Rate: methodology

What this metric measures

The share of young people aged 15–24 who are not in employment, education or training (NEET).

Why it matters: It captures young people disconnected from both work and study, a broader signal of disadvantage than youth unemployment alone, and a predictor of long-term exclusion.
